As our Programmer, you will provide leadership in the fabrication of production and prototype tooling, molds, die fixtures, and machined parts to support our manufacturing facility by programming CNC milling machines in the machine shop. The programmer will use blueprints, CAD design sketches, and Engineering specifications to ensure the proper dimensions and close tolerance levels of the finished product. As a programmer you will be responsible to create and generate complex 2-D and 3-D (including 5 axis) tool paths for the machining processes, and trouble shoot and edit programs as needed. The programmer will be responsible for the accuracy of the tool paths by running simulations in the CAM software. In addition, the programmer will create all needed set-up and work instructions for the product that is running on the CNC mills, maintain and complete all forms, files, and work orders and ensure safety measures are strictly followed. The programmer will provide feedback and recommendations on design, machinability, improvements, and efficiencies.

KEY Job Accountabilities:

  • 50% Interprets 2D prints and 3D CAD model information along with design engineering to Create CAM programs (including set-up sheets and work instructions) for manufacturing complex components and molds for footwear production.
  • 30% prove-out new machine processes, coach machinist, and trouble-shoot program/process/machines issues.
  • 15% Design specific processes for automating mold CAD/CAM programming and manufacturing.
  • 5% participate in product design/review meetings to provide feedback on mold design, and communicate new ideas and processes in mold manufacturing.

Current shift opening -

Day 1: Tuesday - Thursday and every other Monday from 5:30am - 5:30pm



  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
  • Technical degree in Machine Manufacturing Technology or related field
  • 3 years minimum work experience in a machine shop or equivalent field
  • Expert in CAM programming and strong working knowledge of G code
  • Experience in Delcam preferred but not required
  • Experience utilizing blueprints, sketches, and CAD drawings to fabricate parts
  • Strong experience in created 3-D models in CAD
  • Ability to setup and operate a CNC machine
  • Experience in 3-D CNC programming required. Experience in 5 Axis programming preferred
  • Experience with Hardinge BRIDGEPORT and OKUMA CNC machines preferred
  • Ability to use common machine tools, such as band saws, vertical saws, drill presses, pedestal grinders, lathes, manual mills, basic hand tools, and measurement instruments such as calipers and micrometers
  • Ability to lift and move tools and molds up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to meet physical requirements of stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, pushing, hearing, reaching, and movement around work areas to accomplish job tasks
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to convey complex ideas and solutions to machining changes
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities and projects
  • Strong attention to detail
