The IT Systems Analyst works within the Division of Information Technology (DIT) at the University of Maryland, College Park. Responsibilities will focus on performing operations and maintenance tasks for current and future SaaS, PaaS, and locally hosted solutions in support of University needs. Tasks will include collaboration in support of implementation and integration of current and future systems and services, working with vendors in support of hosted solutions, and working with clients in support of their use of our services. Client interactions will include migrating services and diagnosing issues when encountered. Monitoring of systems and services, responding to alerts and performing root cause analysis are also part of the position’s responsibilities.
Minimum qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field from an accredited college or university or additional related experience in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class. Additional related experience may be substituted for the education on a year-for-year basis, one year of experience being equivalent to 30 college credits.

Experience:
8 years of hands-on application administration.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
Preferences:
- Experience administering hosted applications including acting as the agent between local customers and hosted support.
- High level proficiency with UNIX/Linux administration and shell scripting.
- Proficiency with REST & SOAP APIs.
- Proficiency with IAM integrations.
- Working knowledge of the Cloud environments.

Salary range $96,000-$115,000
