Waiter at Pom and Olive in Costa Mesa
Responsibilities: Adding garnishes to prepared food; Arranging the dining room tables and dining area for dinner or catered events; assisting customers and guests with seating and assigned seating arrangements; sanitizing the food preparation areas, cutleries, utensils, and other equipment; and ensuring that the food preparation area and front of the restaurant clean at all times.
Requirements: 3 years of work experience and familiarity with Mediterranean cuisine. Vietnamese and English Speaking is required. Knowledge of serving Mediterranean dishes. Prior experience in a Mediterranean restaurant and knowledge of assisting the host or hostess by answering the telephone to take reservations, using the point of sales (POS System) to take, to-go orders, greeting the guests, seating the guests, and thanking guests. Have excellent knowledge of wine selections, how to pour wines to the tables with appropriate glasses and pour the wines for guests. Checking the guests' identification to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages; Checking with guests to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and taking actions to correct any issues that may arrive during the ser; and cleaning tables or counters after customers have finished dining.
