Director of Client Services

Morningside University is accepting applications for the full-time position of Director of Client Services. The Director of Client Services works as a member of the Information Services team and coordinates the support for faculty, students and staff with workstations, computers, and classroom technologies. The position is responsible for the Student Notebook Program, managing the Technology Services Center, and coordinating campus IT purchasing.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and serve as a point of contact for the Student Notebook Program, ensuring maximum value, efficiency, and availability
  • Manage the staff of the Technology Services Center
  • Facilitate IT inventory management
  • Manage the campus procurement of IT assets Maintain device inventory, purchasing, student computer accounts, and financial accounting information
  • Act as liaison with students, parents, faculty and staff with issues concerning the notebook computer program and the Technology Services Center
  • Research and assess quotes for IT procurement, determine if they meet RFP requirements, and review vendor qualifications.
  • Facilitate and review RFP and leasing arrangements for technology purchases.
  • Manage planned asset sales and proper disposal of outdated University owned equipment.
  • Ensure that service level agreements and policies exist to support both the technology acquisition and support strategies of the institution.
  • Supervise the full time employees within the Technology Services Center.

Qualifications:

  • Strong computer knowledge (Microsoft Windows & Microsoft Office applications).
  • Strong communications and presentation skills.
  • Ability to make technical and administrative decisions and recommendations with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to interact professionally and effectively across all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to effectively lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to motivate team members, foster a positive work environment, and resolve conflicts.
  • Ability to lift/carry items weighing up to 30 lbs. and be able to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with leases and Requests for Proposals Applications will be accepted and reviewed until the position is filled.
