Salary: $35,616 to $39,939 Annually                       Salary is based on education & experience

 

Job Description: Performs routine systems administration support functions. Infrastructure and Software Systems Administration and Operation: Install, operate, upgrade, and configure infrastructure systems, hardware, and software. Assist with the implementation of new infrastructure systems or upgrades. Complete infrastructure testing and application, conduct basic performance analysis and tuning, create programs for automating system administration. Help analyze system logs and identifying potential issues with systems, troubleshoot and repair hardware and software for systems, troubleshoot and repair configuration problems; and assist with troubleshooting network problems, testing, technology planning, and evaluation: assist with testing for systems upgrades or releases, assist with evaluation of new technologies to determine their applicability to the client’s needs. Implement new technology deployments and system integration testing, document infrastructure support methods, procedures, and configuration. Confer with other personnel in resolving problems involving procedural and technical matters. Research problems and recommend solutions. Provide resource estimates and progress reports. Ensure that all work is accurate and in compliance with departmental or project quality standards. Provides on-call support on nights and weekends as needed. Participate in training and professional development sessions. Performs other duties as assigned. Provide in-house technical PC hardware and software support. Respond to user calls and support tickets and work to address the user needs both remotely and in person. Primary focus will be on support of end-user workstation devices, you will also be responsible for management of servers, network devices, VoIP, Active Directory accounts, printers, and email administration and support a variety of applications.

Education: High School Diploma or GED; Preferred Education and Certification: Associates Degree or greater in MIS, Computer Science, or related

Preferred Knowledge:  Windows 10/11, Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365, Cloud technologies, Backup/Disaster Recovery, Basic Networking, Cyber Security Principles, MFA, PC Management, and Server Management.

Licenses/Certifications: Valid Texas driver’s license and must be insurable by Agency insurance.

Hours of Work: Monday—Friday; 8am—5pm

Facility: Central Administration, Bryan, TX.
