Circuit Technical Lead, IBM Corporation, Austin, TX: Responsible for circuit deliverables of full team. Provide technical leadership and direction to full circuit team. Drive resolution of tool issues impacting circuit design. Collaborate with cross-discipline teams such as logic, verification and integration to solve critical circuit design issues. Provide performance feedback of individual team members to management. Monitor or track project milestones and deliverables. Provide weekly status updates to project management, floorplan designs based on micro architecture, analyze and close circuit static timing, perform physical design verification and timing analysis of critical cross sections. Implement both manual and automated Engineering Change Orders (ECOs). Provide Physical Design solutions for a high-end microprocessor beginning with concept phase and continuing until design release. Work on floorplan synthesizable block designs based on micro-architecture. Implement placing and routing of synthesized blocks to meeting timing and area constraints. Provide a physically designed solution that reduces power usage. Provide a design that enables future ECOs (engineering change orders). Work with in-house tool developers to debug engineering tools used for synthesis, Place/Route and layout. Work with in-house tool developers to improve engineering tools used by circuit team. Utilize Flat LBS Design, Port Mapping, Design for Testability and Powerspice.
Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering or related and two (2) years of experience as a Circuit Designer or related. Two (2) years of experience must include utilizing Flat LBS Design, Port Mapping, Design for Testability and Powerspice.
