Sodexo is looking for a Food Operations Manager 2 in New York, NY at Bellevue Hospital


Bellevue Hospital is a  860 bed unionized facility including  102 hourly employees 1199 union with a  46% patient population is behavioral health. Sodexo management staff includes Senior GM, CNM, 2 PSMs. This unit is a cook-chill operation where product is prepared at off-site plant and delivered to Health and Hospital's facilities throughout NYC. No retail, limited catering.

Are you the experienced food service manager we're seeking?  

We are looking for candidates who will:

  • Manage day-to-day operations with the culinary team
  • Deliver high quality food service
  • Develop and maintain client and customer relationships
  • Develop strategic plans
  • Create a positive environment
  • Ensure Sodexo Standards are met
  • Have the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service
  • Demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed
  • Have working knowledge of Sodexo Food Management Systems (FMS) and Market Connections (MSC), and is proficient in computer skills and report management experience

Manages all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and directly supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Assumes General Manager's (GM) responsibilities and authority in his/her absence.



Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 4 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
